At Enkrateia House of Hope, our name embodies our mission to empower women through self-mastery, compassion, and optimism.
Enkrateia (en-‘krah-tay-a)
Derived from the Greek word ἐγκράτεια, Enkrateia signifies self-control or self-mastery achieved through the exercise of willpower. This virtue enables individuals to overcome passions and fears, paving the way toward self-sufficiency and the realization of personal goals.

An optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes. It is looking forward to the future with anticipation and confidence!

Our home is located in the southwestern suburbs of Minneapolis. For the safety and privacy of our residents, visits are by appointment only. Please contact us to schedule a visit.
